IMPORTANT NOTICES TO CJA ATTORNEYS
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT CJA 20s, CJA 21s, CJA 24s, CJA 30s & CJA 31s:
All claims for payment, CJA 20s, CJA 21s and CJA 24s, are to be sent to the Hartford office, 450 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103, to the attention of the CJA Audit Clerk.
Death Penalty Claims, CJA 30s and 31s, are to be sent to the New Haven office, 141 Church Street, New Haven, CT 06510, to the attention of Lori Inferrera.
To avoid delays in payment, please contact the Clerk's Office immediately when you have been notified of a new appointment on a sentencing remand or probation/supervised release violation. We will need to prepare an additional CJA 20 voucher for you for these proceedings.
Before a CJA 20 or CJA 30 voucher for a new appointment can be sent to you, we must receive a completed Financial Affidavit.

REGARDING EXCESS COMPENSATION MEMORANDA:
The Second Circuit has issued guidelines to assist counsel in preparing affidavits or memoranda in support of excess compensation claims. Affidavits not complying with these requirements have been rejected and the circuit has started holding vouchers pending receipt of additional information. Our district is taking steps to avoid delays at the circuit level and we are now checking affidavits or memoranda for sufficient detail to comply with the circuit requirements. Click on this link for specific requirements. VOUCHERS CONTAINING INSUFFICIENT AFFIDAVITS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED FOR DISTRICT JUDGE APPROVAL UNTIL THE DEFICIENCY IS CORRECTED. TO AVOID DELAYS IN RECEIVING YOUR PAYMENTS, PLEASE COMPLY WITH THE AFFIDAVIT REQUIREMENTS LISTED.
