The United States District Court for the District of Connecticut now permits attorneys to file documents electronically over the internet in selected civil and criminal cases. The court strongly encourages attorney's to take advantage of the benefits of the new service which include: 24 hour access to files or view documents; immediate access to updated docket sheets and to the documents themselves; potential elimination of paper files that can be misplaced or lost and potential for savings in copying, courier and noticing costs.


Training seminars provide attorneys and support staffs with the knowledge necessary to use the CM/ECF system.
Topics covered include:


Hands typing

  • How to prepare documents for electronic filing.
  • How to file electronically.
  • How to retrieve electronically filed documents.
  • How to receive electronic notice of filings.
  • What to do with material that cannot be filed electronically.
  • What to do if you have difficulties filing electronically.
Due to the nature and location of this program, seating is limited. IF YOUR FIRM OR OFFICE HAS SIX (6) OR MORE PEOPLE WHO CAN ATTEND THE SAME SESSION OR IF YOUR FIRM CAN FILL A CLASS (UP TO 14 PEOPLE), WITH SUFFICIENT ADVANCE NOTICE (6-7 WEEKS) WE CAN ARRANGE TRAINING FOR YOU OUTSIDE OF OUR NORMAL CLASS SCHEDULE.
